About the programme
The MSc in Public Administration: Urban Governance specialisation is developed by the Department of Public Administration of Erasmus University Rotterdam (Erasmus School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, ESSB), which has an excellent reputation in interactive governance, in collaboration with the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), an award-winning institute (UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour) with over 60 years of experience in training urban professionals, as well as local and national governments officials. Erasmus University Rotterdam ranks #5 worldwide for Public Administration, according to Shanghai Rankings.
This unique one-year programme will enable you to learn how to develop sustainable governance policies that successfully deal with global societal challenges and secure the well-being of people who live in and outside of cities. The Urban Governance programme will equip students with expertise in public administration, political sciences, urban economy, sociology and urban planning.
