This training event presents three case studies of small-scale urban initiatives of IHS Alumni. These three case studies are the finalists of the IHS Alumni Impact Award, which aims to showcase and support worldwide initiatives that impact the local community. Guided by expert trainers, participants will learn how to apply the Theory of Change methodology to the three cases to understand their impact and identify opportunities and challenges for sustainable urban development, including leveraging inclusive partnerships. At the end of the workshop, the results of the applied TOC per case will determine the winner of the IHS Impact Award.

Participants will assess their own understanding of stakeholder engagement for urban sustainability through small-scale initiatives, develop strategic thinking and identify factors that contribute to impact.
