Joint activities with ISOCARP

Den Haag

IHS and ISOCARP (the International Society of City and Regional Planners) start up joint activities & revive old collaboration.

Previously IHS and ISCOARP have worked closely together, promoting their shared interest in developing and improving urban spaces across the globe. From 2019, we hope to explore how over 100 years of shared experience in the urban planning and development field can contribute to our joint activities.

About ISOCARP

Founded in 1965, the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional city and regional planners. The ISOCARP head office is based in The Hague, Netherlands and currently employs IHS Urban Management and Development 2017 alumni Tjark Gall and Federico Aili, who are spearheading this initiative. In the future, we look forward to welcoming ISOCARP representatives to IHS to deliver guest lectures to our Master students and in September 2019 IHS will also attend the ISOCARP Annual Congress in Jakarta.

We are confident ISOCARP will contribute useful insights to both our current students and we look forward to recommending this year’s theses from our Master programmes to the prestigious ISOCARP Student Awards.
