Saskia Ruijsink is an urban professional focusing on inter- and transdisciplinary approaches for urban planning and urban development. At IHS, Saskia has focused on research, education, training and advisory work in the fields of urban justice, sustainability, innovation, co-creation, participation and multi-stakeholder processes, placemaking, and urban and regional planning and development, in an international context. Before entering IHS, Saskia worked as a consultant in the Netherlands on similar topics for (local) governments and social housing agencies in a variety of cities and regions. In September 2021, Saskia started work at the LDE Center for Sustainability as scientific coordinator of the cities hub. She is based at the faculty of Architecture, Technical University Delft. She focuses on bringing together the LDE expertise in research and education by drawing on various urban-oriented disciplines in the 3 universities (Leiden, Delft & Erasmus University) and by reaching out to public, private and social organizations that work in the urban domain.
