Leon van den Dool (PhD Public Administration, Leiden University) is a Lead Specialist in Urban Governance. He is working both at IHS and PwC within the consultancy practice for local governments. Leon is mentoring the management of various cities in the Netherlands, advising on city strategies, doing evaluations for city councils and advising on mergers and amalgamations in the public sector. Leon published on learning local governments, good urban governance, cooperation in local governments and other topics. Recently he published “The Quest for Good Urban Governance” (Springer) and “Urban Network Learning a comparison of international experiences”. Previously Leon worked for The Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), deputy director of the Urban Management Center and various management positions in local governments in the Netherlands.
